Built in four spacious pavilions linked together by generous outdoor living spaces, the sparkling pool and tropical gardens, Mare Blu offers full air conditioning throughout the villa. Its excellent floor plan is designed so that all of the home's main living space is on one level.
Interior Details
Six large bedroom/bath suites, a stunning indoor gourmet kitchen flanked by an outdoor kitchen dining and sitting area, and a beautifully-decorated Great Room are just a start at Mare Blu.
On the property's main level is a pavilion offering the air-conditioned Great Room, a large covered and shady patio for outdoor living, a gourmet kitchen, and right outside through sliding screened pocket doors, an outdoor kitchen and alfresco dining area with a convenient screened pass-through from the kitchen.
The handsome Great Room features a lofted cypress ceiling, a large HD TV with cable and DVD player plus lots of DVD movies and games for everyone, a card or game table, and two sitting areas. A powder room is right around the corner, clad in travertine marble from top to bottom. Adjoining is the wonderful gourmet kitchen and pantry, masterful in its razzle-dazzle color scheme - a sleek, glass-tiled accent wall behind the gas cooktop, skylights, custom cabinetry of exotic African makore burl wood and stainless steel, and great selections of dinnerware, glassware and chef tools for your dining pleasures.
The kitchen includes an island with prep sink, two dishwashers, a microwave/convection oven, a standard oven, a large three-door refrigerator and a small desk to the side. Sliding pocket doors lead from the kitchen to Mare Blu's second kitchen just outside, which boasts a stainless steel professional gas grill, a second oven and an icemaker.
The laundry room, located off the pool loggia, where a supply of fluffy beach towels is handy. A striking stainless steel palm sculpture sits across the pool. Beyond the loggia is the two-level bedroom pavilion, where four roomy and air-conditioned bedroom/bath suites await.
On the pool level are two suites: the two-twin (or 1 king) Indigo Suite and the Orange Suite with its king sleigh bed and an exotic alfresco shower. On the garden level below are the queen Yellow Suite, and the Pink Suite with two twin beds (which can also be made up into a king bed with your advance request). Glass sliding doors open from both the Orange Suite and the Yellow Suite to screened porches where you can read and watch the blue colors of the Caribbean Sea with your sweetheart, with privacy provided by etched glass panels depicting a fantasy of undersea life. All four bathrooms feature double vanities, and all are completely tiled in handsome gray granite from floor to ceiling; the Pink Suite's bathroom also offers a bathtub, and the Yellow Suite features a semi-alfresco shower.
Outside this pavilion are stepping stones through a ribbon of green lawn which take you past flowers and palm trees to the Ginger Suite, a very secluded bedroom/bath suite tucked under the Great Room's pavilion. This air-conditioned hideaway offers a four-poster king bed draped with netting, a gray granite ensuite bath with a double vanity and shower - and just outside is a private patio for sitting and admiring the ocean view.
Mare Blu's sixth bedroom/bath suite, the Blue Suite, is located in the third pavilion, above the main pavilion in its own private realm overlooking the sea vista. This air-conditioned queen suite has its own mini-fridge, coffeemaker and a balcony just outside sliding glass doors.
Outside on the large L-shaped covered patio is an alfresco dining area flanked by lots of cushioned seating for cocktails and conversation. This shady pavilion flows into a large open sun deck furnished with chaise lounges at pool's edge; Mare Blu's outdoor furniture is designer Dedon, first class and comfortable all the way.
The sun deck continues to the pool's covered loggia, a shaded poolside lounge area where more cushioned seating, a large HD TV with cable, DVD player and movies, refrigerated drawers to keep your drinks and snacks cold while you swim and tan, a closet with pool floats, and a cheerful glass-tiled powder room are located.
This fantastic, well-equipped property makes the most of its locale, with every room overlooking Rendezvous Bay, and features exciting Caribbean color, sophisticated design, in the aluminum gates, top-of-the-line fixtures and finishes, luxury hypoallergenic bedding, and the best of everything for your vacation pleasures.
Privacy is well maintained at Mare Blu by tall treelines and tropical landscaping. Just a short drive to Cruz Bay and to the famous National Park beaches beyond, Mare Blu is well-located and offers plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy.

Cancellation Policy
We are thrilled that you have chosen to stay with us! When you reserve one of our properties, it is not available to anyone else for your dates. Consequently, once you have confirmed your reservation, your deposit will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation for ANY REASON within 60 days of your reservation arrival date, unless we are able to re-rent the property for your reserved dates (the only exceptions being a hurricane). In the event that we are able to re-rent the property for your reserved dates, your deposit will be refunded less a 20% administrative fee. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover you against any unforeseen circumstances. We have partnered with Nationwide Insurance Co to offer our guests travel protection against cancellations due to a variety of events, as well as medical, emergency evacuation coverage and other benefits. Exceptions to the cancellation policy:
Hurricane Exception: In the event of a named storm which is forecasted to pass less than 100 miles from St. John within 48 hours, a full refund less a 5% processing fee will be given.
Deposit Policy
Your deposit to hold your dates (the amount due at booking) will consist of 50% of the total price of your reservation, and the remaining 50% as well as the security deposit and a 12.5% Virgin Islands are due 60 days prior to your arrival date OR in accordance to your signed rental agreement.

"Elegantly Comfortable & Amazing
Where to begin? Mare Blu is absolutely beautiful. There's not one square foot that isn't perfectly decorated as well as functional! The kitchen (inside and outside) is completely stocked with any & everything you could possibly want...Suitable for a chef! The bedrooms are all so roomy and the décor is unbelievable! loved the bathrooms too...very spacious!! The pool area and sitting area by the outside dining table were our two most favorite hangouts!!
The description of Mare Blu for us is clearly Elegantly Comfortable!! This home could not have been more perfect for our group of 6 couples! The Best 50th birthday a girl could ever have!! We Must go back!!!"

"Great House!...Great Island!...Great Time!
Mare Blu was the perfect home for our families to enjoy while at St. John. We had the opportunity to bring our friends and their kids to St. john for their first visit to the island. Teri & Bernie were tremendously helpful upfront and their advice was extremely helpful and accurate. Their home was laid out perfectly for our two families and kids (6 kids under the age of 10). We had plenty of room to spread out but there is also great outdoor space to hang out together. The outdoor kitchen and pool area is perfect for families to enjoy meals and to just hang out and relax. They truly thought out everything when they designed the layout. We were very pleased with the location as well.
It was a short drive to town and to the North Shore beaches. Their property manager was also very accommodating while we were there. We arrived almost 6 hours late due to travel issues and they kindly did a quick store run for us so that we had the essentials for the kids breakfast the following morning.
Overall we really had a dream vacation with our children and made many wonderful memories while staying at Mare Blu.
We will definitely be back!!!"

"A very hearty thank you for opening your fantastic house to us! Arriving down your driveway and through the gates into that oasis propelled a very excited group to new heights of enthusiasm. We were in the pool within minutes, with the dreamlike view of the Caribbean below and twinkling lights of St. Croix beyond. Every aspect of the home was comfortable to the point of luxurious and conducive to both privacy and group living. From the well-equipped indoor and outdoor kitchens, the en-suite bedrooms, and multiple outdoor living spaces, it was hard to decide where to hang out – although the perfectly sited infinity pool almost always won.
Among many stand-out moments, an image of all the men in our group floating for hours in the pool one gorgeous Sunday afternoon while watching football on the large-screen television in the outdoor tv area highlights the pure relaxation and all-you-could-wish-for ambiance of the entire week. Every amenity you could desire provided in a brochure-quality setting.
Dining at the expansive outdoor table and gathering afterward on the covered terrace (before inevitably ending up back in the pool) each evening was the stuff of dreams…only to be surpassed by waking up the following morning to balmy breezes and panoramic views of a sparkling Caribbean, framed by hibiscus and bougainvillea. I need to stop now, before abandoning all real-life commitments and catching the first plane back to your Paradise! Thank you again for sharing the magic.
