Magens Bay, St. Thomas
The most popular beach on St. Thomas! This beautiful one mile stretch of white sand was donated to the VI by Arthur Fairchild. The water gradually deepens, making it the perfect playground for small children. Although Magens Bay is not known for good snorkeling, the calm water is great for spending a day floating or swimming. Beachside restaurants make grabbing lunch or a famous rum cocktail convenient. If you’re looking for more adventure, you can rent a paddleboat or kayak! In addition to the beach, the park features areas for camping, hiking and rental sheds for private parties, weddings and more.
Trunk Bay, St. John
St. John’s most visited and most photographed beach is also voted one of the top twenty beaches in the world by Condé Nast Traveler magazine! Trunk Bay is part of the Virgin Islands National Park Service with over a quarter mile of beautiful white sand. In just a short drive from Cruz Bay, you can spend the day on the beach or snorkeling through the self-guided underwater snorkeling trail to learn more about coral formations and sea life. Venture out to the small cay just 30 yards from the beach to find some of the best snorkeling on island. Don’t miss out on visiting Trunk Bay! Its neighboring beach, Cinnamon Bay, is also a St. John favorite.
The Baths, Virgin Gorda
Established in 1990, this 7-acre geological wonder is comprised of massive granite boulders that form sheltered sea pools throughout the beach. Located on the Southwest coast of Virgin Gorda, this awe inspiring national park is a popular British Virgin Islands tourists attractions. Geologists believe the rock formations are a result of volcanoes, with some boulders reaching 40 feet in diameter. Pack your water shoes, snorkeling gear, and camera and explore these beautiful caves created by Mother Nature!
